The first two days of this course will provide an understanding of the components of the Bosch© CDR Tool exposing the user to the basic functions of the hardware and software.  The goal is for the user to confidently collect and preserve data from supported vehicles using the vehicles diagnostic (OBD-DLC) port, or in some cases directly from the airbag control module (ACM).

The hands-on practical exercises allow the attendees to collect data from various supported modules.  Each attendee will receive individual or small group guided instruction in the following:

  • Software overview
  • Evaluating vehicle condition for connection method
  • In-vehicle DLC data collection
  • Module location and identification including newly supported GM Active Safety & Front Camera modules
  • Direct-to-module data imaging
  • Practical adapter applications (ACM, DLC, CDR 500-Flexray)
  • “Repowering” vehicles and airbag control modules to allow in-vehicle DLC data collection

The third day of this course will provide an understanding of the components of the Hyundai-Kia GIT EDR Tool as well as the Tesla EDR tool exposing the user to the basic functions of the hardware and software.  Additionally, attendees will be exposed to the use of the Toyota Techstream hardware and software.  There may be the opportunity to observe some “live” testing with a Toyota vehicle and the collision avoidance/mitigation system.

The hands-on practical exercises allow the attendees to collect data from various supported modules.  Each attendee will receive individual or small group guided instruction in the following:

  • Hyundai-Kia GIT tool hardware & software overview
  • Tesla EDR tool hardware & software overview
  • Practical application collecting data from Hyundai, Kia, and Tesla airbag control modules
  • Toyota Techstream hardware & software overview
  • Obtaining Toyota vehicle control history (VCH) data
  • Practical application collecting Toyota VCH data

Individuals who successfully complete all course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for the Bosch© CDR Tool, Hyundai-KIA GIT tool, and Tesla EDR tool users (operator/technician).

This course does not go into any analysis of the collected data.

Reservations must be paid for within 45 days of making the reservation.
